Veeder-Root, a leading provider of fueling equipment and services, announced today the availability of the new EMR4 electronic meter register. The EMR4 ensures that the capture and transmission of accurate transaction data related to fuel custody transfers is simple and seamless. The EMR4 can be used with Datalink to automatically communicate data to a back-end system and guarantee all transactions are logged. This reduces loss due to errors in antiquated manual paper ticketing processes where hand written tickets are frequently lost, missing, or transposed incorrectly into systems. The EMR4 also protects your assets from unauthorized access with a proprietary operating system and security settings, and can be set to require authorization prior to delivery or dispense.
The EMR4 meter register provides many improvements over the previous EMR3 register including; built-in Wi-Fi, free USB software upgrades, enhanced memory and processing power, and multiple communication ports (RS-232/RS-485). The EMR4 has received approvals from ATEX, IECEx, and UL, with the addition of the MIL-SPEC vibration and shock certifications for longer life and better performance.
With multiple communication ports, programmable relays, pulse outputs, temperature compensation, and OBC commands for remote control, the EMR4 is adaptable to many field applications. The improved EMR4 also includes a revamped display membrane with an ultra-bright white LED backlit screen that can withstand extreme cold, heat, and constant sunlight. The updated display head is more resistant to harsh and abrasive chemicals. Installation of the EMR4 is easy with new removable connectors and hole plugs, auxiliary power and ground ports, and wiring labels.
Where custody transfer needs to take place, the EMR4 is there to make that transfer accurate, simple and secure, minimizing loss and maximizing profits. The EMR4 is currently available for pre-order and will begin shipping starting June 25th. The EMR4 will be on display at the 2018 ILTA International Operating Conference & Trade Show, visit booth #679 to learn more about this and other solutions available for the terminal industry from Veeder-Root.
